Senior Design Co-Ordinator

We’re seeking a highly organised, detail-driven Design Coordinator to support the delivery of retail fitout projects from design development through to completion. Working alongside clients, designers, and site teams, you’ll be the person who makes sure design intent lands as a high-quality built outcome — on brief, on budget, on program.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design development across multiple retail fitout projects
• Liaise with clients to understand design briefs, brand requirements, and expectations
• Manage and review design documentation — layouts, shopfronts, and services drawings
• Coordinate consultants (architects, engineers, certifiers) to keep designs compliant and buildable
• Prepare and submit design approvals (landlord, council, authorities)
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors through construction
• Track design deliverables, timelines, and project milestones
• Coordinate procurement of materials, fixtures, and finishes
• Manage design changes, RFIs, and revisions throughout delivery
• Keep designs aligned to brand standards, budget, and program

Skills & Experience

• 3 years in design coordination, interior design, or fitout/construction
• Background in retail, commercial fitout, or shopfitting highly regarded
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
• Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction (preferred)
