About the Role
We are seeking a driven and high-performing Business Development Lead to lead growth across South Australia. Working closely with senior leadership, this role is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships in a sustainable and profitable way.
Success in this role requires a relentless approach to sales execution, strong relationship-building capability, and the ability to convert networks into meaningful commercial outcomes.
Position Purpose
In partnership with senior leadership,you will:
- Identify, grow, and convert new business opportunities
- Expand existing client relationships
- Execute a disciplined and strategic sales plan
- Build strong networks and translate them into tangible results
This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and consistently goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Execution
- Lead and drive business development activity across South Australia
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through to conversion
- Monitor performance metrics including strike rates and win/loss ratios
- Ensure client expectations are consistently exceeded
Sales Planning & Strategy
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
- Evaluate opportunities with a strong ROI focus
- Maintain accurate and transparent reporting standards
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Act as a brand ambassador across industry events and networking forums
- Engage regularly with clients to identify emerging opportunities
- Drive high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnerships
Market Growth & Intelligence
- Identify new markets, clients, and growth opportunities
- Analyse industry trends and customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve service offering and delivery
