Project Coordinator

About the Role

An established shopfitting and retail interiors business is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality retail fitout projects across Australia.
This role is ideal for someone who is keen to get off the tools (carpentry, joinery, shopfitting or similar) and transition into a long-term career in project management, or for an experienced coordinator looking to grow within a stable, well-run business.
You’ll work closely with project managers, designers, manufacturing and site teams to help deliver projects from concept through to installation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities across design, manufacturing and installation phases
• Assist with procurement of materials, specialist finishes and subcontract trades
• Maintain project documentation including schedules, RFIs, revisions and compliance records
• Support production planning and workshop handover requirements
• Work with designers and technical staff to ensure drawings and specifications are current
• Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure clear communication
• Update project tracking systems for budgets, milestones and risk management
• Assist with logistics planning for deliveries and on-site installations
• Monitor WHS, quality control and adherence to project standards

About You

• Background as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or trade-qualified candidate ready to move off the tools
• Experience in construction, shopfitting, joinery or interiors highly regarded
• Comfortable working with drawings, schedules and technical documentation
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator with clients, suppliers and internal teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; project management software experience advantageous
• Positive, solutions-focused team player with a genuine interest in project delivery
