We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead and grow a high-performing business unit within the insurance building sector.

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for business growth, operational performance, financial outcomes, and team development. You will play a critical role in driving strategic direction, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
 
As General Manager, you will be accountable for the overall success of the business unit, including:

  • Leading, inspiring and developing a multi-disciplinary team of Estimators, Supervisors and Administrators
  • Driving revenue growth, profitability and operational efficiency
  • Overseeing financial performance including P&L, cash flow and forecasting
  • Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and strong margin control
  • Reviewing WIP, claims progress and resource allocation
  • Building and maintaining strong client and industry relationships
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and best-practice systems
  • Leading business development initiatives and expanding work streams
  • Maintaining high standards across safety, compliance and quality

This role requires a hands-on leader who leads from the front, builds high-performance teams and consistently delivers results.
 
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven background within the insurance building industry (essential)
  • Sound commercial acumen and financial management experience
  • Ability to drive business growth and diversify revenue streams
  • High energy, resilience and a results-oriented mindset
  • Exceptional stakeholder and relationship-building skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office systems
  • Current driver’s licence
