Join a High-Impact Engineering Consultancy Are you a seasoned accounting professional seeking flexibility, purpose, and a people-first culture? Our client is looking for a confident and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to support their financial operations in a flexible full-time or part-time capacity.
Operating across Australia since 2015, our client has grown into a multidisciplinary team of 90 engineers and project professionals delivering expert solutions across complex civil infrastructure projects – including roads, rail, tunnelling, and utilities. Their reputation is built on technical excellence, collaboration, and a commitment to meaningful impact.
The Role Reporting directly to the Head of People, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting functions and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. You’ll join a collaborative, agile business that values independence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile accounts and review financial transactions
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis
  • Support AP/AR processes
  • Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Assist with payroll processing and leave reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Provide support for invoicing and broader financial admin tasks

About You You’re proactive, analytical, and thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment. You take pride in producing clean, compliant financials and enjoy working with people who value clarity and consistency.
You’ll Bring:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience with Xero is highly regarded
  • CPA qualified or working towards CPA is a plus
