Commissioning Manager – Data Centre & Major Infrastructure Projects (Victoria)

Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a respected engineering and construction team delivering mission-critical data centres and large-scale infrastructure projects across Victoria.
This senior role offers the opportunity to lead commissioning delivery across complex, high-stakes projects, ensuring systems are fully tested, compliant, and operational prior to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end commissioning activities across multi-disciplinary projects, with a focus on data centre electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Develop commissioning plans, strategies, and sequencing schedules, including redundancy, failover testing, and operational readiness
• Oversee and mentor commissioning engineers, contractors, and technical specialists
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Ensure all commissioning activities meet compliance, safety, and performance requirements, including Tier certification standards for data centres
• Produce professional commissioning documentation, reports, and handover packages
• Act as the key interface between project teams, clients, and stakeholders

What You’ll Bring:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
• Mandatory experience commissioning data centres – mission-critical power, cooling, and control systems
• 7–10 years’ commissioning experience across major infrastructure or high-value facilities
• Proven leadership of commissioning teams or major commissioning packages
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including UPS, generators, cooling systems, BMS, and EPMS
• Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and validating integrated systems
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
