About the Role We are seeking a Building Estimator / Construction Estimator to join our Bendigo team, working across insurance repairs, reinstatement works and residential building projects.

This role is ideal for a carpenter, builder, supervisor or estimator looking to step into or grow within insurance building and estimating.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and prepare accurate cost estimates for insurance repairs
• Interpret and develop detailed scopes of works
• Liaise with clients, insurers, and stakeholders throughout the process
• Coordinate property access and manage insured parties
• Engage and price subcontractors and trades
• Work closely with supervisors to meet budget and project targets
• Ensure compliance with OH&S, building codes, and regulations
• Manage documentation, certifications, and project records

About You

• Trade background in carpentry, building or construction
• Experience as a Building Estimator, Construction Estimator, Site Supervisor or Carpenter
• Exposure to insurance repairs, reinstatement, or residential construction (highly regarded)
• Strong knowledge of building methods, trades and current market rates
• Ability to prepare quotes, tenders, and cost estimates
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
• Current driver’s licence
