Bridge Design Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Bridge Design Engineer to join our client’s consultancy team. This role will see you working on a diverse range of civil infrastructure and bridge projects, delivering high-quality design solutions that enhance transport connectivity and community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver bridge and structural designs in accordance with Australian Standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with civil, geotechnical, and structural teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Undertake structural analysis, modelling, and detailed design of bridges and related structures.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, design documentation, and specifications.
• Assist senior engineers in design reviews, quality assurance, and compliance checks.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the design process.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4–8 years’ experience in bridge design within the consulting sector.
• Proven ability to deliver detailed design of multiple structures from concept through to final documentation.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and design codes (AS5100, AS3600, AS4100).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SpaceGass, Strand7, Midas, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in design.
